Huang Li was buried in the ruins for 96 hours during the Wenchuan earthquake and lost her left arm and legs. She recorded her healing process on a blog to give encouragement to earthquake victims. She also opened a talk hotline to touch people with her own experience.

Huang felt her life was in despair with only one arm left at the beginning and often thought of death. However, the sincere encouragement by Liao Hui, a gold-medal volunteer from Guangzhou, changed her life.
一开始黄莉觉得只有一只胳膊的人生使她陷入了绝望，她经常想到死。然而，来自广州的金牌志愿者廖卉的真诚鼓励改变了她的人生。
Although you have only one hand, you can use language to help people, Liao said. Opening the Huang Li Hotline was the first thing she did after she got back to her normal life in Dujiangyan. Together with four other earthquake victims, Huang answered countless phone calls in an effort to heal the pain brought by the earthquake.

When her health was improved, Huang established a volunteer service team named the Huang Li Love Workshop in 2008. The organization aims to organize earthquake victims to produce cross-stitches and other handicraft. Many schools also asked them to launch charity sales after hearing the news. As a result, Huang raised a total of more than 60,000 yuan in more than one year.
当黄莉的身体好转后，她在2008年建立了一个名为“黄莉爱心工作坊”的志愿者服务小组，其目的是组织地震伤员制作十字锈和其他手工制品。很多学校听到消息后建议他们发起慈善义卖。一年多时间，黄莉最终共筹款6万余元。
Through Huang’s efforts, the Dujiangyan Xinqicheng Disabled Charitable Service Station was officially established on March 9, 2010. She also obtained an NGO organization certificate from the government.
通过黄莉的努力，“都江堰心启程残疾人爱心服务站”于2010年3月9日正式成立。她也获得了政府颁发的“非政府组织”(NGO)证书。
Currently, there are six staff members at the service station, and three of them are disabled victims of the earthquake. Huang said that this year they will focus on establishing an employment center for disabled people and seeking assistance from enterprises.
目前，该服务站有六名工作人员，其中三名是地震伤员。黄莉说，今年他们将致力于建立残疾人雇佣中心，并寻求企业的帮助。
