KABUL, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Three civilians were injured early Thursday morning when two militants launched an attack on a mosque in western Kabul, said sources.
The sources said two armed militants were also killed by security forces and locals in the pre-dawn attack. Two Pakistani nationals armed with two AK-47 guns, two pistols, two knives and ammunition entered Imam Hassan Mujtaba mosque in western Kabul. They opened indiscriminate fire on worshippers, injuring three people, the country's intelligence agency said in a statement.
The attackers were wearing police uniform, it noted.
The injured were shifted to a hospital in Kabul, the statement added.
