一次可怕的经历(An frightening experience)
At the age of eight, I had a frightful experience. My uncle and I were swimming in a river with a life buoy. I said to my uncle that I wanted to swim to the middle of the river alone.
I said it would be safe because I had a life buoy. At first my uncle didnt agree. I pretended to cry. He had nothing to do but let me swim alone. When I was near the middle of the river, the life buoy leaked.
I began to sink. I struggled to keep my head above the water. But what I did was of no use. I was forced to drink a lot of water. I thought I was going to be drowned.
It was at that CRItical moment that my uncle swam over and rescued me. I didnt dare to swim alone after that experience.
